About the Role:

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product that's suitable for broadcasting. Your role will involve working on all aspects of video editing, from visual effects to sound effects and colour correction. This position requires strong technical skills, creativity, and attention to detail. You will play a key role in producing compelling video content that aligns with our client's branding and marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing: Edit video footage to create high-quality, engaging content. Use editing software to cut, arrange, and enhance video clips.

Visual Effects: Apply visual effects, transitions, and animations to enhance the storytelling and visual appeal of videos.

Sound Editing: Edit and mix audio tracks, including voiceovers, music, and sound effects. Ensure audio quality and synchronization with video.

Colour Correction: Perform colour correction and grading to ensure visual consistency and enhance the overall look of the video.

Storyboarding: Collaborate with clients and creative teams to develop storyboards and visual concepts for video projects.

Content Review: Review and select the best takes and footage. Ensure the final product meets quality standards and client expectations.

Compression and Formatting: Compress and format videos for various platforms and devices. Ensure optimal playback quality on different media.

File Management: Organize and manage video files, ensuring efficient workflow and accessibility.

Feedback Implementation: Incorporate feedback from clients and stakeholders into the editing process. Make necessary revisions to achieve desired results.

Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, techniques, and industry trends. Continuously improve skills and processes to enhance editing efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as a Video Editor or in a related role. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve is required.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of video editing principles and best practices. Experience with visual effects, sound editing, and colour correction.

Creativity: Ability to develop creative concepts and translate them into engaging video content. Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail.

Audio Skills: Proficiency in audio editing and mixing. Experience with audio editing software is a plus.

File Management: Strong organizational skills for managing video files and project assets.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate with clients and creative teams to achieve project goals.

Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in editing. Ability to produce polished and professional final products.
