About the Role:

As a WordPress Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining WordPress websites. Your role will involve working on all aspects of WordPress development, from theme customisation to plugin development and optimisation. This position requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. You will play a key role in building responsive and feature-rich websites for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

WordPress Development: Design, develop, and maintain WordPress websites using WordPress CMS and related technologies.

Theme Customisation: Customize WordPress themes to meet client requirements. Implement custom designs and layouts using HTML, CSS, and PHP.

Plugin Development: Develop custom WordPress plugins to extend and enhance website functionality. Follow best practices for plugin development and security.

Website Optimisation: Optimize WordPress websites for performance, speed, and SEO. Implement caching, minification, and other optimization techniques.

Security Implementation: Implement security measures to protect WordPress websites against security threats and vulnerabilities. Follow best practices for WordPress security.

Content Management: Manage website content, including text, images, and multimedia. Ensure content is up-to-date and meets quality standards.

Testing: Conduct testing to ensure website functionality, usability, and compatibility across different browsers and devices. Debug and troubleshoot issues as needed.

Documentation: Document technical specifications, customizations, and codebase. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.

Collaboration: Work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to understand project requirements and deliver solutions that meet client needs.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices in WordPress development. Continuously improve skills and processes to enhance development efficiency and quality.

Requirements:

Experience: Previous experience as a WordPress Developer or in a related role. Proficiency in WordPress development is required.

Technical Skills: Strong understanding of WordPress CMS and related technologies. Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL.

Theme Development: Experience customising WordPress themes and implementing custom designs and layouts.

Plugin Development: Experience developing custom WordPress plugins to extend website functionality.

SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with SEO best practices and techniques for optimizing WordPress websites for search engines.

Security Awareness: Understanding of WordPress security principles and best practices. Experience implementing security measures for WordPress websites.

Testing Skills: Experience conducting testing to ensure website functionality, usability, and compatibility.

Version Control: Proficiency with version control systems such as Git. Experience with collaborative development workflows.

Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Willingness to share knowledge and support colleagues.

Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and accuracy in coding and testing. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
