Job description

Job Overview:
The Finance Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting financial planning, analysis, and daily financial operations. You will be responsible for managing financial documentation, producing regular reports, supporting budget and forecasting processes, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and reporting standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and distribute periodic financial reports including income statements, expense reports, and budget vs. actual analyses.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings by compiling necessary financial data.

  • Assist in cash flow monitoring and reporting, helping ensure the organisation maintains healthy liquidity levels.

  • Collaborate with department leads to gather input for annual budgets and reforecasts.

  • Maintain tracking sheets for departmental budgets, flagging variances and discrepancies for review.

  • Assist in processing invoices, expense reimbursements, and vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

  • Support bank reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger updates.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for audit purposes, including receipts, contracts, and payment records.

  • Manage document filing and retrieval systems for financial transactions and records (both physical and digital).

  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather finance-related documentation or clarification on transactions.

  • Ensure all financial activities adhere to internal controls, audit requirements, and data protection standards.

  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives around reporting automation, expense tracking, and document management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

  • 3–5 years of experience in finance or accounting support roles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas).

  • Strong working knowledge of financial software, specifically Xero and QuickBooks.

  • Solid understanding of financial principles, compliance, and internal controls.

  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage sensitive data.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
