Job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and maintain the product backlog, prioritising and preparing work items (defects, requirements).
  • Define clear and actionable user stories for the development team.
  • Prepare and refine work for Iteration Planning, coordinating dependencies with other Product Owners.
  • Validate and accept completed stories, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria and Definition of Done (DoD).
  • Lead Sprint Retrospectives, collaborating with teams to enhance workflows.
  • Contribute to the Product Roadmap, translating strategic goals into functional and technical requirements.
  • Provide input on innovation and product enhancements, deciding whether features should be part of the standard product.
  • Stay updated on customer, market, and technology trends to ensure product relevance.
  • Ensure product quality and fitness for use, guiding engineers and testers from a functional perspective.
  • Provide test case support and conduct functional scenario tests.
  • Own 2nd and 3rd line defect triage during development and implementation phases.
  • Collaborate with teams to produce release notes and documentation.
  • Represent the product in client and community calls, gathering insights to shape future improvements.
  • Conduct product training sessions and demonstrations for internal teams (Development, Sales, Marketing, Delivery, Customer Operations).
  • Act as the go-to expert on whether a function should be in the standard product.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer to Delivery and Customer Operations teams for better support scalability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in software engineering or equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner with extensive functional knowledge of Microsoft D365 Business Central.
  • At least basic knowledge of integration-techniques using Business Central as data-repository.
  • Microsoft Copilot experience centered around data-integration is a plus.
  • Experience in ERP implementation, configuration, and customisation and understanding of business processes, including finance, supply chain, and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or other backlog management tools.
  • Certification as a Product Owner, SAFe, or similar Agile certification is preferred.
