Job Summary: Our client is seeking a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to design, develop, and optimize their trading infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with the founder to gain an in-depth understanding of the trading pipeline and to build robust, scalable systems capable of automating the deployment of thousands of independent trading strategies in parallel. As one of the initial hires, your contributions will be pivotal in establishing their presence in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and manage high-performance data processing and storage pipelines.
- Develop and maintain backend systems, including databases, APIs, and network connectivity.
- Scale and optimize a parallelized architecture for enhanced system performance.
- Ensure system reliability, fault tolerance, and high availability.
- Continuously improve the trading infrastructure to support the research team’s needs.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5+ years of strong proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience in system design and cloud architecture, with expertise in AWS (S3, Redis, SQS, ECS, Auto Scaling, Load Balancing, etc.).
- Proficient with Linux systems.
- Experience with DevOps practices.
- Familiarity with WebSockets, REST APIs, and real-time data processing libraries like Kafka.
- Experience developing ETL pipelines (e.g., using Apache Airflow).
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Expertise in parallel programming models and algorithms.
Preferred:
- Proficiency with advanced data processing Python libraries (e.g., Numba, Zarr, CUDA, Spark).
- Experience in designing and developing quantitative trading systems (HFT/MFT).
- Experience with C/C++.
- Experience in architecting scalable systems from scratch.
